Outspan was established in 2004 and was one of the first businesses in the UK to
specialise in offshore outsourcing for SMEs. We are still one of the few who
provide a full onshore / offshore service to clients.
Since the beginning we've been providing great value accounting, financial
consulting and back-office services to clients across the UK and Europe.
Our UK base in Sussex provides account support, operational management,
quality assurance and consulting services to clients.
Our service centres are based in Sri Lanka where we have access to UK qualified
accountants, an excellent cost base and high quality of output. Our team set up
allows for high levels of staff satisfaction which engenders long term relationships
with our clients. No other offshore location can offer this.
Our team and our facilities
We operate from state of the art service centres in the capital, Colombo, with 120
seat capacity. For our larger clients our facilities provide full ISO27001 security
standards.
Our accountants are UK qualified (CIMA or ACCA) and our bookkeepers are
trainee accountants working under qualified managers. Our non finance staff are
experienced and hold relevant qualifications in their field.
We provide our clients with dedicated resource and the facility to talk directly with
both the UK and Sri Lankan teams working on their business using UK phone
numbers.
Our operating model
We can also implement your services quickly and are flexible in adapting swiftly to
changes in your service needs. Accessing our service is online which, while being
secure, allows maximum flexibility for client access wherever they may be.
Our offshore operations have been developed along the ‘shared service centre’ concept, using the same best practice processes used by many blue-chip
multinational companies. This provides our clients with access to a large pool of
skilled talent using facilities which provide reduced costs and improved service
levels. The flexibility of this operating model also allows clients to scale their use
of resources up or down according to business needs, whilst converting a greater
proportion of their fixed cost base into variable costs

To give you peace of mind that your business is in safe hands, we are regulated by
The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and we're registered
for data protection. For our larger clients our facilities provide full ISO27001 IT
security standards.
We also provide clients with secure online access to their information at any time,
anywhere in the world (via online portal) so that you can always be in control of
your information.
